Shaun was
previously with Phelps Dunbar as an associate and then a partner from 1980-1999.
He attended Louisiana State University Law School and received his Juris
Doctorate in 1980 where is was a member and the associate editor of the Louisiana Law
Review.
He is admitted to practice before all state courts in Louisiana, the
United States District Courts for the Eastern and Middle Districts of Louisiana and the
United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit.
He is an active member of the legal community with memberships in the
American Bar Association, Louisiana Bar Association and the New Orleans Bar Association.
He is a member of the Louisiana Bankers Association, Bank Council Section. Shaun is an
active member of the community as a board member of the New Orleans Epilepsy Council, the
Longue Vue House and Gardens (President), New Orleans Museum of Art (member of Board of
Trustees and Secretary), St. George’s Episcopal School (member of Board of Trustees,
Secretary, Vice President and Chairman of Board) and the Garden District Association.

Shaun
Rafferty is the managing attorney for the Commercial Real Estate section. His expertise
includes commercial, corporate, real estate, lending and general transactional law. He has
also developed expertise in the areas of title insurance, administration of indenture
trusts, Louisiana public corporations, telecommunications finance, maritime finance and
gaming finance.
